Make small squares or circles of fabric and fill with herbs like mint, lemon balm, lavender, orange zest, cinnamon stick, etc. (You should be able to buy small amounts of these from a health food store that sells frontier herbs) Sew or tie with yarn (like the rice favors you see at weddings)

Place distilled water in a spray bottle (the smaller the better) put in a few drops of essential oils (used to scent massage oils) Shake a few times then spray into the air. The scent will last only a few seconds, but will be noticable. and kids love water!

There is a way to make cinnamon clay that dries and smells for years. Shape it into circles and poke a hole in the top to hang. Don't have a recipe, but it takes alot of cinnamon.

If you have a toaster oven you could make cookies from cookie dough, then compare the smell to burnt toast.
