Quick and Easy Halloween Crafts
We’re getting so close to the big day that I thought you might appreciate some quick and easy Halloween crafts, rather than those you have to plan out ahead of time.
Here’s some fun ideas that will work well for this week:
Quick and Easy Halloween Printables
Sometimes I just don’t have the time to put together a great craft project or fun activity for the kids. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done!
I’m sure you feel the same way sometimes.
That’s why I thought I’d put together a short list of printable Halloween activities that you can print directly off the internet.
A Couple of Pumpkin Craft Ideas For Halloween
My youngest daughter and I have participated in pumpkin decorating contests for the last couple of years, so I thought it would be fun to show you a couple of the crafty Halloween pumpkins that we’ve created together.
At the bottom of the page is a link to share your own special pumpkin or Halloween crafts… I hope you’ll tell us about your best pumpkin!
Here’s ours…
Printable Halloween Skeleton Craft
The kids and I found this craft while surfing online tonight and we’ve got big plans to make them tomorrow to decorate the house, the kids’ doors, etc.
All the skeleton parts are printable right off the internet, making this one really easy.
You can get complete instructions here… but we’re planning to make some changes.
First of all, we aren’t going to trace the parts onto cardstock. If we decide to use cardstock (I like to use old file folders instead), we’ll just glue the pieces onto the cardstock and then cut the pieces out.
However, I don’t think we’ll bother with any of that. Our plan is to print out all the pieces, cut and color as appropriate, glue the pieces together at the joints, and tape up to a wall, door, window, etc.
Quick, easy, and the kids can do it without assistance!
Easy Pumpkin Light That *Big Kids* Will Enjoy Too!
This is a really cute Halloween craft that will appeal to a wide range of children.
Older children can create more detailed painting to make the project more grown up, while younger kids can paint to the best of their abilities.
I can totally see doing these with a scouting group or classroom as well as doing them in preschool.
Top 7 Reasons To Paint Pumpkins
Pumpkins have always been a big deal at our house, even before we had kids. My husband and I used to have contests every year to see who could carve the best pumpkin. I always won. (My husband might have a different opinion about that.) Then one year I took the kids to a local farm where they sold really cute painted pumpkins for $30-$50 per pumpkin. Being a pretty crafty person, I decided that I wanted to try pumpkin painting on my own.
Simple Witch Brooms Halloween Craft
This craft idea may be a little difficult for very young children to grasp, but it’s a lot of fun with kids about age four to five and up. I originally did this craft with my daughter when she was four and she did most of it herself and had a great time.
It’s also a lot of fun… and really inexpensive… to do as a Halloween party craft or party favor, scouting craft for Halloween, and with groups of kids in a classroom. It even works with specific themes such as Harry Potter!
Cute Candy Corn Pin
A cute little Halloween pin made from fun foam with a pin back. This craft is very easy to do, even for the youngest kids.
