Quick and Easy Halloween Crafts

We’re getting so close to the big day that I thought you might appreciate some quick and easy Halloween crafts, rather than those you have to plan out ahead of time.

Here’s some fun ideas that will work well for this week:

Paper Bag Gargoyles - This are really easy and can be made at the spur of the moment when you’re just looking for something fun and easy.  I’m going to put my youngest to work on some of these on Friday!

Origami Bats - My 10 year old really enjoyed making these and taping them up all over the house.

Pasta Skeleton - This is still one of my favorite Little Kid crafts for Halloween.  All you have to do is glue different types of pasta to black construction paper in the shape of a skeleton.  If you’re working with really young kids, you’ll either have to make an outline of the body shape or do one ahead of time to show them.

Halloween Dioramas - This year I decided to turn the kids loose a little bit more with their Halloween projects.  I gave each of them a shoe box and free access to whatever craft supplies they could find around the house.  Their *assignment* was to create a Halloween diorama or Halloween scene in their shoe boxes.

I was really pleased with the results and they were really proud of their creations.  They used construction paper, stickers, sticks from outside, toilet paper (to make mummies), toys they found in their rooms, etc. and make some really great Halloween scenes.  Unfortunately, the dog really liked them too and he got to them before I got a picture… Drat!
